Clay Sculpture Workshops
I have facilitated workshops in a variety of places in the last year and this year have been hosting in Sonairté, Laytown Co. Meath (https://sonairte.ie) This wonderful eco- centre is a fabulous space to explore and perfect for bringing participants together to model in clay.
We have been focusing on creating the head, but I am planning on future projects which would explore animal figures as well.

LEARN HOW TO MAKE CLAY FIGURATIVE SCULPTURE
A one day workshop to make an expressive model of the human head.
This intensive course is suitable for all, beginners or experienced, for anyone interested in exploring this fascinating art form. By working with a hollow slab and coil method - I will show you how to create a unique and expressive model.
By the end of this course students will learn how to:
Roll and join clay slabs
- Form and shape the neck and head.
- Learn methods to sculpt the eyes, nose and mouth.
- Work on facial expression.
- Sculpt and attach the ears.
- Mold the head.
- Assemble the parts.
